HarperAudio Releases Tairen Soul Audiobooks
March 2011 ~ HarperAudio has just released the audiobook recordings of QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS and CROWN OF CRYSTAL FLAME. I've listened to excerpts of both and am thrilled with the quality of the recording. See the Books page for purchase links.
In addition to the Harper Audio audiobooks, I'm working with the production company recording KING OF SWORD AND SKY. The project was put on hold when my Dorchester contract was sold to Avon, but I hope to announce availability of the KOSS audiobook in near future.

Wildlife Artist Heather Carr Puts Tairen
To Canvas
Nov 2009 ~ Talented wildlife artist, Heather Carr, brings the tairen of
the Fading Lands to life with her beautiful oil paintings based
on scenes in the Tairen Soul novels.
Though Heather’s primary artistic subject matter is African
wildlife, Judy York’s fabulous rendition of the tairen
on the covers of LORD OF THE FADING LANDS and LADY OF LIGHT
AND SHADOWS caught Heather’s eye and reminded her of the
“winged panthers” she used to draw earlier in her
career. The Fading Lands novels inspired her
to return to those earlier fantasy works.
Heather Carr’s Tairen Soul collection currently includes:
“Arrival at High Reaches”

|
A sleek, black tairen alights on a rocky spire in Heather Carr's
original oil painting, "Arrival At High Reaches".
The smoky hint of the volcanic Feyls mountain range lies in
the distance. |
Heather Carr brings the fierce “First Blade” of
the Fey'Bahren pride to radiant life in her original oil painting,
“Steli Chakai”. This gorgeous work of art depicts
the tairen Steli, fierce chakai of the Fey’Bahren pride,
standing in the entrance cavern of the tairen’s lair.
Subtle pinks, blues, and lavenders grace the underside’s
of Steli’s snowy wings. |

“Tairen’s Play”
Sleek, golden Fahreeta and her indulgent mate Torasul tumble
playfully through a bright summer sky in Heather Carr's original
oil painting, “Tairen's Play”. I must say, this
is my personal favorite. I love the bright, blue summer sky,
the rich golden hue of Fahreeta's fur, the affectionate twining
of their tails as they tumble, the soft undertones of outstretched
wings gleaming with translucent pinkness in the sun. It's as
if Heather lifted the image straight from my imagination and
transferred it to canvas.
Heather’s original Tairen Soul-inspired, oil-on-canvas
fine art is displayed at her gallery website, http://www.darkparadise.org/ edition giclees signed by
the artist, as well as the original oils are available for purchase.
Take a minute to stop by Heather’s website and gaze at
her gorgeous body of work. Tell her C.L. Wilson sent you!
Heather and I are working together to make her fabulous paintings
available in prints and other formats. |
