QUEEN Countdown - Day 22

"You...will...not...touch...him!"

ONLY FIVE DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!

It's October 22th, Day 22 of our QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS release countdown!

Days until the release of QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS: 5

We are counting down the days until the release of QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS, book #4 of the Tairen Soul quintet. Each week, I'll be choosing winners to receive an autographed copy of QUEEN, so don't miss out!

How to Enter!

There are two ways you can win!

(1) Join the CL Wilson Announcement List. A winner will be drawn from the announcement list each week.

(2) Read the daily countdown blog here on Blogging the Fading Lands, and post a response to the "Question of the Day". Each Tuesday, I will choose a winner from the posters for that week. For each daily blog that you respond to, you earn one chance to win. (Multiple comments to the same blog still only count as one "chance to win".)

Once you post a comment, email feyreisa@live.com with your

(1) name,
(2) mailing address,
(3) email address, and
(4) the name you posted under (please sign your post if you post as "anonymous")

If I do not receive your information, your response to today's blog will *not* be entered in the weekly drawing.

Only one entry per person per day will be counted. Personal information will remain private, will only be used to contact the weekly winner(s), and will be discarded thereafter.

MORE PRIZES!!!!!!!!

We're into the final week of our countdown!!! To celebrate, I've added even more daily prizes to our giveaway, including some gorgeous new artwork from my friend and fabulous wildlife artist, Heather Carr, and a carved stone pocket tairen.

"Tairen's Play" ~ Original Tairen Art Wall Plaque

Sleek, golden Fahreeta and her indulgent mate Torasul tumble playfully through a bright summer sky in Heather Carr's original oil painting, "Tairen's Play". I must say, this is my personal favorite. I love the bright, blue summer sky, the rich golden hue of Fahreeta's fur, the affectionate twining of their tails as they tumble, the soft undertones of outstretched wings gleaming with translucent pinkness in the sun. It's as if Heather lifted the image straight from my imagination and transferred it to canvas.

A digitized rendition of the painting has been reduced to 4"x6" and mounted on a golden-oak stained solid wood plaque suitable for wall display. The full-sized painting will soon be available on Heather's website, www.darkparadise.org.

Daily prizes to be given to winners selected from today's commenters:
(1) autographed poster of LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS
(1) autographed copy of LORD OF THE FADING LANDS
(2) autographed sets of Tairen Soul collector cards (LORD, LADY, KING & the brand-new absolutely gorgeous QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS - Card #4 in the series)
(1) Tairen art wall plaque, from the original oil painting, "Tairen's Play", by Heather Carr

I'd love to see Elvia. Forests have always drawn me. I wonder what kind or kinds there are. Huge, ancient trees, paths winding through deciduous groves, lush, wet forests (like the Seattle area)? *sigh* Whatever they are, I'd like to wander them.

The other would be Kiyera's Veil and the great city of Orest City of Mist, before the mage invasion of course!

Well, the fey'bahren would be kinda neat, but hands down, the Fading Lands itself. It's got to be the most beautiful place I've ever heard of, a true dream. The people are so kind and wonderful there, and not to mention all the men! Whoo!

I'd also like to so how I'd fair against the Faering Mists, I'm curious what they'd do to me.

I think I'd actually like to go to the Warrior's Academy in Dharsa. I am attracted to swords (and why do all the cover show English-type swords when the book descriptions seem to describe Japanese-type swords?) and skills with weaponry. Training, discipline, and tradition. Warrior's creeds. Cool things to yell when you are fighting. (Do women jaff pain on a cold night just to keep warm, also?...I've wondered which parts of the anatomy are used in the jaffing process.)

Learning and understanding magic, history, and all that other stuff.

Generally, I would have to say the important markers in the story.

Eadmond's Field to walk among the weaves made by Ellie and Rain; Celieria City to see the church after it's restored, and the city itself; The Garreval/Teleon, to walk places known to be beautiful and see the Faering Mists; Dharsa, to sip water from teh source and converse with the Fey; Fey Bahren, to mingle with the Tairen should they not find me a pleasant snack best served crispy; Blade's Point/Bay of Flame, to watch the sun set, and in its waters start my own soul quest; Elvia, to wander the Elven forests.

So many choices besides. My goodness, they all would be lovely to see.
