I'm sitting in Charlotte, NC airport waiting on my connection to Knoxville, TN. Had a wonderful flight - my seatmate was a fascinating man and rather than sleeping (which I usually do on planes) I spent the whole time talking!
Anyways, our flight will board in just a few moments. I'm going to try to turn off moderation for the day. If that doesn't work, I will moderate this morning's posts when I get into the hotel in Knoxville, so if you don't see your post show up for a while, never fear!
I'll also be signing today at the Food City show then again later that evening at a Books A Million. Those of you in the Knoxville area, I hope I'll see you either today or at the other two signings tomorrow!

While I can't think of any great, important secret that I want revealed to me the reader; I would like the Queen of Celiria's cruel acts and intentions to be discovered, vengeful as that may sound. Maybe then someone will put her in her place. However this might make the King distraught at a rather inopportune time.
I would enjoy knowing where Gaelen brought the orphaned girls as well.
I just want the secreat of Ellie's parents revealed to her. I feel so bad for them, after all they were forced to give her up when she was a new born. I also wouldn't mind finding out what experiments the mage did on Shan.
I really want the characters to learn of Ellysetta's blood related parents, but what I want to find out most of all is how Ellie will be saved from being marked as well as how she will come into her powers to save the Tairen.
I would love to discover what happens to Shan and Elfeya. I am as interested in thier part in the story as I am in Ellie and Rain's.
I find that difficult to anwser as I have not read King yet and I don't know what secrets will be revealed there. :) So I will have to get back on this one in a few days.
I would like to know the secret/mystery behind the true origin of the Tairen Souls.

And my hope is just the opposite of crazy's. I hope the "gods" don't punish Annoura. I like her. She might be somewhat petty, but no one is perfect. She tries her best for Celieria and so far she's fought the apprentice mage's seduction attempts with everything she has. Annoura, in my opinion is a flawed but not evil character and because of that she's likeable. I think she needs gentle reassurance more than a smackdown and I hope she and Ellie can reconciliate. I hope everything turns out alright for her.
I would love to find out the past of Ellie's parents as well as what the mages did to them while in captivity. Also would love to know where and how her adopted parents got to have Ellie.

I really want to find out more about Ellysetta's parents...I'm hoping they'll escape and be reunited with Ellie. I can't wait to see how Ellie and Rain's truebond is resolved, if Ellie will be able to remove the Mage marks, and how Ellysetta will save the Tairens. Also, will Bel find his truemate?
Anything to do with the High Mage. He's a fascinating villain. Of course anything to do with Ellie's parents is mixed up with it.
Well I really don't want their story to end. I have become very attached to themm the Fey and the world you created. That said I would like to see what happens with Ellie's real parents and I'd like to see what happens with her quintet and do they find their soulmate.
I have to admit that I'm with the majority here and want to know the secret behind who Ellysetta's parents are. Other then that, I don't really know. Someone commented above that its hard to answer that question when you have yet to read the latest novel and the secrets it holds but thank goodness there are only four more days until your new release! I can hardly wait here!!
I also wish I was in Knoxville so I could go to your signing but unfortunately I live in Chicago. I do hope you plan to come on down to Chi-town and do a signing or two soon though.
I want Ellie's parents to be revealed. Its the best subplot ever!!! I really want them to have a happy ending :)
I have two dark secrets to be resolved.
How the High Mage Maur and the mages have been able to remain such a secret from Fey Detection.
The other, if the sacrifices of Ellysetta's blood parents will be their death in the end, or reuniting with their daughter after so many centuries of torture.

I can't think of a big mystery at the moment, but I'd like to see the situation with Elfeya and Shan resolved. After all they've been through, they deserve a really good happily ever after and I really hope they get it. I was every bit as interested in their story as I was in Ellie and Rain's story.
i just got my copy from dorchester publications book club. cant wait to read it.

1. Ahzran: is it really as evil as Rain believes or does it have its proper time and place? WHY was it forbidden in the first place?
2. The cause (and cure) of the wasting sickness that is killing the Tairen and the Fey
3. The true nature of the relationship between Ellie and the High Mage. What role did he really play in her conception and how could he be the "father of her soul"? Does this relate to her being the only female Tairen Soul ever known?
Ohhh...that's hard, there is so many! :) I want to know what happens to Ellie's parents (and more about the actual time of them giving Ellie up). I think there may be a special bond between Ellie's younger sisters and their Fey guards, so I hope that enough time elapses in the books to see if that is true or not. And...I can't wait to see how the High Mage is defeated.
I would love to find out at the end of Ellie and Rain's story why Ellie was left as a baby in the forest with a very complicated glamour on her and who her parents are as well as their story (all in more detail than already given).

blood parents and what happened to them. I really won't know for atleast 4 more days...
Just like everyone else I want to know about Ellie's parents.I am not getting to read today, because I am watching what is happening at Ole Miss today with the presidental debate. I go to school there!
I would say.. Ellie's parents. Rather, what is being done to them? And why? There must be a huge "experiment" going on to keep prisoners as dangerous and powerful as those two alive. To capture such powerful foes means that the reward for the risk must be huge..
I'm don't know. I haven't read them yet. I do have the first on in my pile to read, but haven't gotten to it yet. It is a huge pile.
I too agree with the others that I hope that Elfeya and Shan survive and the situation is resolved by the end of "Queen", with the two of them still alive.
Of course I'm looking for the resolution to the bond between Elly and Rain and her actually shifting to a Tairen, (and I know Bel and Gaelen's stories come in later books according to Cheryl's blog posting on Aug. 1, 2008).
I would love to see if Sariel is reborn to find her true love.
I would like to see why Elly's weavings are different from the other shei’dalin, how it is that she can restore the Feys' souls when the others can't.
I have many more questions raised in "King" that I hope are resolved but I won't put them here as I don't want to spoil the book for others. And King answers some of the questions raised in "Lord" and "Lady".
I would love to see Ellysetta's parents be free of their captor, and the high mage killed or be stopped of his evil doings, and Queen Annoura to be caught as the wicked queen that she is. Boy it would be cool if Rain got a hold of Queen Annoura wants he finds out what she did to Ellysetta!!

What I'd really like to know is how Vadim Maur managed to make a female Tairen Soul. I'm sure it's probably a very long technical explanation but I'd love to hear it.
I'm not sure if there's a certain secret I would like to know, but I would like to know Ellysetta's real parents more and see her connect with them, that would be cool.
I also want to know more about Ellie's parents. Will she ever learn of their existence/captivity and be reunited with them? Is there a happy ending in store for them? After all they have suffered I can't help but hope.
My burning question that I want answered by the end of Queen (like for many others posting here!) is the fate of Shan and Elfeya, Ellie's parents and the fate of the High Mage as well as the Mages in general. I also want to know what happens to Sol and the twins.
I would like to see Ellie & Rain meet Shan & Elfeya, but would also like to see Bel meet his truemate wherever she may be. Also if Ellie's sisters are able to truemate when they are older as her magic helped to conceive them. By the way is the way her magic that helped her sisters be conceived related in any way to how the High Mage was able to "father her soul" when she is Fey born through Shan and Elfeya?
i have so many!!!!:o( however here is the main one;
Shan and Elfeya; what have the experiments done to them by the Mage revealed about the Fey, why is Seldor so effective? why can the Fey not make Seldor? how did they put the glamour to hide Ellie's nature on? how was she concieved with the mage being able to mark her and saying he created her as the Tairen soul, the only ever female one, and being the father of her soul? is this the reason why she is so powerful and her weaves and magic stronger and different to other Fey? and with the mage mark how were her parents still able to get her away from the mage?
other mysteries
1. whats the deal with Ahzran, what is the history behind it making it so evil, and why did it become forbidden where by the fey are unwilling/unable to use it but the Eld have embraced it.
2. how did the sickness of the Tairen start, and whats the cause of it? how did the Tairen and fey fates become co-dependant.
3. Lord Teolos story, how come he has ties to the Fey, and the Elves? how did that happen, whats the story there?
4. Adrial and Talisa story is enthrilling, i was like bloomin heck, she's married! how is that gonna work without bringing the Fey and Celerian ways of life into direct conflict? am dying to know about that.
i'm fairly sure that Rain and Ellie complete the bond (i hope) but look forward to the trials and tribulations that take them there.and i'm hoping to read Bel and Gaelens books so will keep all my mystery Q until they come out. as u can see im am brimming with questions and queries, am so excited about King hope that it satisfies my inner cat (you know...curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back!) lol

I would really like to know what happens with Adrial, then also i the cruel action of the Queen of Celiria are revealed.
Also I would love to know what happens with elle's sisters and I really want to know what happens with Elle's parent.Its so horrible what was done to them
Of course I want to know more about Ellie's parents, and do hope they survive in the end, but I suspect we won't find out until the end of the series. Meanwhile, now that my book got here from Dorchester, I'm hoping to find out more about the relationship between Ellie and the High Mage.
I know its not really a "mystery," but what I would really like to see by the end of the story, or by the end of King if possible, is Elfeya and Shan rescued and to live happily once again. Since this is a 3rd person POV it seems to me that we hold quite a lot of the "mystery" cards. The ones who don't know about them are the characters in the story. I'll enjoy the scene where they learn of them. ;) Other than that I want vivid details of the world and cultures; the fey specially. The more details you have the more vivid the story is.
I have so many questions I hope are answered. As with everyone else, I hope to see Ellie's parents rescues and reunited with her. How is it that the Fey females aren't allowed to kill people, is it because of their special power? Why did Rain think Ellie would be killed when she killed others in the battle? How did the Faering Mists come to be? Did the Fey and Tairen relinquish their magic and become mortal? Did they have to die to contribute to the creation? How did the Fey discover sorreisu kiyr and how is it that each Fey has one? Do the females have one? Also, what about Talisa and Adrial, do they complete their bond? And the question that has been raised in the book itself, two truemates, the first in a thousand years, how did it happen?
OK, I could go on but I think that's enough for now. I am anxiously waiting for Tuesday.
I have a few hopes/questions that I would like to have resolved by the end of Queen of Song and Souls (I could even live with seperate books, but I am really much more impatient than that :) ).
Big one, of course, is Ellie and Rain (as well as everyone else) to not only find out who Ellie's parents are, but to save them as well.
I also would love to follow Lillis and Lorelle. Maybe its weird, but I see Kieran and Kiel with them respectively. Obviously not now, I see currently as fraternal/avuncular, but hopefully in the future there will be a spark, a'la Afra and Damia.
My last big one is Adrial/Talasia (which im sure im spelling wrong, my memory is horrible). Id give a lot to know how that gets resolved.
Beyond that, Id love a contiuation of the world/people, but as I love Bel and Gaelen, and youve already said theyre getting their own books, I can be content :)
I think that the most obvious mystery I would like revealed (more so to Rain and the Fey to truly understand Elly and her soul) is Elly's real parent's and just what the Eld mage did to her soul which causes her seizures when Shan is tortured. Also, Elly and Rain finding the secret to saving the Tairen and their young. Finally, I want to find out what happens with the rest of Elly's quintet: Adrial- is he able to be with his truemate and do they complete their bond. Rowan, will he survive or choose the dark path. Kiel and Kieran, what happens to them and Elly's twin sisters. Who are their truemates?? (Possibly the twins when they become of age, because Elly's mom was only able to have children after they found Elly?? Is there some Fey in them??)
Much like everyone else, I would like Ellie's true parents reunited with her in the end. Also I would love to see what occurs with the other truemated couple back in Celeria.
To choose one secret, that is a tough one. I think the one I would most like to know about is how Ellie saves the tairen. Close second would be the secret of Ellysetta's parents and does Ellie get to meet them. Oh, another one does Adrial and Tarisa get to be together? How the tairen became sick in the first place and what the sickness is. Sorry, I will stop here. I want to know all the secrets. I truly can't wait for the 3rd and 4th books!!

I definitely want to know about Ellie's parents and why Ellie was left in the forest as she was. Also Adrial and Talisa's situation was a huge cliffhanger for me and I can't wait to see how that resolves itself!
