I am an in bed reader. I love to curl up under a pile of blankets in the winter with a hot water bottle at my feet an a pile of books next to me. I like to alternate between books, a very few I will read cover to cover without any others around at the same time. And yes I did that with your first two. I should start re-reading them as it has been nearly a year now.

I will read about anywhere, if I have a moment. But I do prefer a quiet place to focus on what I am doing.

I love to read in bed, too, but with the hectic pace of modern life, I read ANYWHERE I have a few minutes to spare--I even keep a book in my car for when I'm stuck in traffic...and I do mean stuck, as in sitting still. My favorite place to read is in front of the bay window in my living room with a good cup of coffee and a kitty on my lap.

I love to read. I have a few favorite spots to read. I am the mother of 3 very active children. I treasure my time with them, but also crave at times a space of time my own, to indulge in one of my passions, reading. My bathroom is my escape. Candles all around the room, bubbles foaming in the bath tub, a copy of Lord or Lady in hand, sailing away into Celieria, dreaming of the Fading lands.

Really anywhere and everywhere if I have a free moment of time. I carry around my palm pilot with hundreds of books and whenever I find some down time I pull it out and start reading.

I love to read anytime, anywhere!. There is nothing that I enjoy more than reading. With a husband and 3 boys I am not very picky at all about where I will open a book.

In large overstuffed recliner, the chair seems to wrap around you, letting you just sink back into it. It's right by the large picture window that lets in a lot of light to read by.

I used to love reading in my bed but now I've fallen in love with my new couch in my family room. I drag the coffee table so it's closer for me reach when I want to dip into my snack or sip my 'Diet Cherry Pepsi'. The the TV is generally turned on with the volume really low. I've never been more comfortable.

If I had my choice, curled up in a lounger on a tropical beach somewhere.
In reality, it would be my bed with many books scattered on the bed or in the shelves of my head board. More recently, I would have my laptop in bed with me to read ebooks. I'm considering the Kindle or another e-reader but can't quite justify the cost yet.
My parents started me reading in bed as far back as I can remember--my brother and I were allowed to stay up an extra half-hour, then hour, at night if we would spend the time to read. So, I've been a voracious reader since I was a child.

I have read books all over the place. In bed, the bathroom. Any quiet time I have is spent with a book in my hand. My all time favorite place to read is outside leaning up against a tree. This way I can kill 2 birds with one stone. I get my reading fix and my daughter Zoe gets to play outside, releasing all that 3 year old energy. Making it easier to put her to bed at night. lol

I, too, am a bed reader, since the time of childhood and reading mom's stolen romances while mostly hidden under the covers. Though I've always fancied a really comfy window seat to read upon. (I've seen a few with bookshelves built-in! covet covet covet)

Okay, ya'll are going to be so grossed out! I am a bathroom reader! But, before you quit reading, yes, I am a girl and I have a two year old. Sometimes, I sit on the side of the tub and read or on the seat of the toliet(fully clothed) with the door shut and locked so, I can have a few minutes of uninterrupted reading time. When Daddy comes home I always make an excuse to go the bathroom and stay for 20 minutes or so.:) Plus late at night, my kid won't sleep if he sees light coming from the living room.
Yay! me for being weird, huh!?!

Normally my favorite place to read is on my bed at home. However, my bed in my dorm room is not nearly as comfy. Thankfully, the Arts building on campus has this wonderful glass roofed atrium with these cushioned wicker chairs and tons of plants. It's absolutely wonderful for reading (or homework) and I've practically taken up residence there.

Ooo...that's a toughie. I don't have access to it now, so I make do with my treehouse (yes, I do have one) and a pile of cushions and blankets inside, my own little nest in our mini-forest, or, if I'm feeling adventurous and/or brave, the faerie ring in our yard, on a blanket (yes, we have one of those too)...

....but my absolute favorite place of all time to read was a cabin my father's uncle used to own; it had a great big hammock in the backyard, and a lovely deep porch swing in the front. In the late spring, with the wind whistling and the trees talking, it was the ideal environment for reading, preferably with a cup of mint tea within reaching distance (but far enough away from the book that it was safe from tea damage!).

My two favorite places are on my stomach on my bed, and in a bubble bath. I literally read all of Lord Of The Fading Lands in the bathtub in one sitting, in a tub full of water...mom had to finally kick me out of the bathroom cause I'd been in there so long!

Definately a bed reader! I curl up with my books and the dogs. My hubby spoils me with meals in bed too! ;) When I am not home, I always carry the book I'm reading, you never know when you'll get stuck in traffic or at a long light! lol!

julie, I do that too...
or did, for years...
until I started getting dizzy too.

Now I just keep a book on the passenger seat and sneak peeks at stoplights! *g*

my ex-boyfriend tops the list for weirdness though, he'd read in traffic while driving!, though I never allowed him to do it while I was riding with him...

I spend a majority of my reading time on our back porch that over looks a pond. When ever my mom has a difficult time trying to locate my ware bouts, she will finally remember that I’ll most likely be on the back porch reading. It’s my little hide away as you call it. Unfortunately, when it gets cold I can’t really spend as much time outside but I try and get as much reading done out there as I can. It is just so relaxing I can’t help myself. We have geese that like to visit that pond, and this past spring they had babies and they where so adorable. They distracted me quite a bit while reading, but in a good way. 
I live at the beach so you would think that my favorite place to read would be on the beach but no, not really. If anyone has ever spent a summer at a beach in North Carolina then you would understand why. The humidity is so bad that one could almost drink the air. I’m the type of person who is OCD about the condition of my books, so I just freak out when I’m reading at the beach. The pages get all wet from sweat and get sand in the binding. I also make funny faces when I read so I know people usually think I am crazy.  There are just too many distractions on a beach. When I read I like to have complete and utter silence so that I can completely submerge myself with the story.

This past summer was when I read both Lord of the Fading Lands, and Lady of Light and Shadow. I work in the cutest, private book store on the island and a coworker suggested to me that I read them and I was so excited after I did. I could have hugged her. LOL it’s bad to work in a book store when your favorite things are books! I almost have to give back my entire paycheck because of all the books I read.
But anyways….
I read both of those two books on my back porch so I will always associate that location with pleasant memories. Books are such a blessing. To have something that can invoke such powerful emotions and memories in life is a wonderful thing. More people need to realize what books can do for them. Our world would be a different place I believe if they did. Thanks CL Wilson, for your hard work and perseverance. It’s because of people like you who make a difference. Thank You.

Well there is the places where I read and the places I wish I had to read. I usually read either in bed at night or in a big old recliner in the lounge room on a lazy weekend afternoon(dont get much of these)or lastly, out on the deck in the sun while hopefully looking like I am watching my son practise his basketball, cricket or football.

Now where I wish I could read is in a place like Cheryl's dream library. I could just imagine snuggling up in front of an open fire in a two storey private library. The reality is DH wouldn't let me add one in our new house so I have settled for my own private room where I can have a comfy chaise to lay on, with a sliding door to the outside so I get the sun and surrounded by my books.

I must say that my favorite place to read has to be on my bed. I say on my bed but not in my bed. I don't like getting under the covers when I read, the sheets get in the way haha. But I do like propping up the pillows just right so I can be comfortable and read away to another place...I also like the fact with the bedroom door closed it's nice and quiet with no distractions.
I know reading in the bed may be what everyone else does, and isn't all that exciting of a place to read a book. If I had an ideal place to read, it would be in a jungle house built up in the rainforest trees. I would have to climb a rope ladder to get up there, and maybe a toucan would eventually become my friend.
Dreams aside though, no matter where I read I try to go to a different place, a wonderful journey that my book takes me on!

I read mostly in bed or on the sofia in our family room, when I can squeeze out the time. The best time for me to read is when my kids are asleep and the house is nice and quiet - no phone calls, no interruptions, just me and my book.

I have to really work at finding time, but for KOSS I am ready to put everything else on the back burner and dig right in!

I love to read everywhere and anywhere! Currently I read a lot at work when there is nothing to do. I always read in bed before I go to sleep. If I read when my husband is driving I don't get as scared. (I hate his driving) I can't stand to just sit and do nothing.

Actually I think it's kind of funny that I work in Loveville and read romance novels!

My favorite place to read would be in a big soft chair on Gerry Butler's lap reading outloud to him. :)

But since that hasn't happened yet, I will say on the sofa under a warm blanket in front of a wood stove.

Ha... is this a trick question? I will read anywhere and anyplace I can, whenever I can find a free moment. I suppose I prefer bed because I can snuggle down and get comfy, there are less distractions there and I can really get into the story super fast. Bookstores are also good places for me, something about the hushed atmosphere and the sent of coffee, leather, and printed paper is addictive. Oh, I can't wait for the 30th!

I must say that my all time favorite place to read is my bed. There I can get all warm and comfy, relax, and drift off to another world where my imagination comes to life. I also sometimes like to curl up and read in the arm chair in my living room with the sunlight shining in with the tv or light music playing in the background.
