Quick Update from San Francisco
I'm here at RWA National Conference in San Francisco. The RWA Autographing for Literacy went smashingly well, and I got to meet so many friends and readers I've met via the internet. I hope everyone who took pictures will email me a copy so I have them for my blog and scrapbook. :)
Last night, I had the great honor to be awarded not one but two National Readers' Choice awards from Oklahoma RWA. Lord of the Fading Lands won both Best Book and Best Paranormal Romance of 2007. I was very thrilled and definitely caught unawares.
I am hard at work on QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS, the conclusion of Rain and Ellie's story, and next month, things ramp up for the release of KING OF SWORD AND SKY. I hope you'll be able to join me at DragonCon or Moonlight and Magnolias.
After QUEEN, I will be finishing up another fantasy romance, THE WINTER KING, before heading back to the Fading Lands to check in on a couple of beloved Fey warrior friends, Bel and Gaelen.
As always, beylah vo te miora felah.

It sounds like you're having a wonderful time. Enjoy....take a quick break....have some fun....THEN, write us some more great books.
Thanks for updating your blog.
Terri
Does this mean a couple of bloodsworn champions will be getting their own mates, eh?
The gods weave as the gods will. *gg*
There are certainly challenges to overcome, as you will discover in KING.
Seems that Bel will survive the coming battles and Grand Finale - yay! Gaelen, that jerk, could just go down in a blaze of glory.
Also: Congratulations! A reader's prize must feel especially rewarding.
It was so wonderful meeting you :) I was the crazy lady who told you all about reading your books while she was finishing up her manuscript that just sold.
Congratulations on your awards! You deserve them. :-D
Can you tell us anything about The Winter King? Same or different world? Standalone or series? I'd love to know more!
Poor Gaelen...he is so misunderstood! *gg*
Shaunta,
It was great pleasure meeting you and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! on your first sale!!! Woo hoo for you!!!!
THE WINTER KING is set in a different world. It's a book I started and fell in love with while waiting to sell TAIREN SOUL and I'm very happy that Dorchester chose to publish it. Like Tairen Soul, THE WINTER KING was an unpublished Maggie Award finalst.
I'll post info and an excerpt of WINTER KING after I've finished writing QUEEN.
so happy to hear you already have more books on the way. keep writhing and I'll keep reading and loving everything you write.
