QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS ~ Release date delayed

TO MY READERS: I'm still working on the conclusion of Rain and Ellie's story, QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS. It was due for release June 2. However, QUEEN has proven to be an extremely difficult book to write. I was late finishing KING OF SWORD AND SKY, which threw off my schedule, and the first draft of QUEEN did not meet my personal standards of excellence. After major revisions -- and a complete rewrite of the entire first half of the book -- I am finally on the right track. QUEEN should be out this year, but to avoid disappointing anyone again, I won't be announcing the release date until I turn in the fully revised manuscript to my editor. I do sincerely apologize for the delay, but Rain and Ellie's story means too much to me to risk ruining it with a bad ending. I hope you understand and will be patient a little while longer. Wildlife Artist Heather Carr Puts Tairen To Canvas

Talented wildlife artist, Heath Carr, brings the tairen of the Fading Lands to life with her beautiful oil painting, “Arrival in the High Reaches”.    Though Heather’s primary artistic subject matter is African wildlife, Judy York’s fabulous rendition of the tairen on the covers of LORD OF THE FADING LANDS and LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS caught Heather’s eye and reminded her of the “winged panthers” she used to draw earlier in her career.    The Fading Lands novels inspired her to return to those earlier fantasy works.  “Arrival in the High Reaches” is the result.  The painting, a “16x20” oil on canvas, is displayed at Heather’s gallery website, http://www.darkparadise.org/ under “Paintings” and “Fantasy”.  Limited edition giclees signed by the artist, as well as the original oil itself, are available for purchase.  Take a minute to stop by Heather’s website and gaze at her gorgeous body of work.  Tell her C.L.
